All of our same log packs have been flitch cut (sawn through and through) and numbered in sequence. This type of sawing as shown in the drawing produces the widest possible sequence matched lumber and also some nice sequence matched quartersawn lumber from the center of the log. Sometimes we have 'Quartersawn Same Log Packs' listed under "Quartersawn".
   
 
 
Advantages of Same Log Packs:
  • Better figure, grain and color matching
  • Able to use them where you would like a book matched effect
