DESCRIPTION – The sapwood is a creamy white and the heartwood is a rich golden brown with the annual rings being distinctive.

USES – When properly dried, English Elm is a very stable wood making it ideal for furniture making, especially large Nakashima style tables.

ENGLISH ELM SLABS WE NORMAL STOCK – We carry these slabs in widths up to 40” and sometime over 50”, and crotches up to 6’ wide.   We stock lengths usually up to 16’ and sometimes up to 18’ long.  We cut and kiln dry most of our English Elm logs into wide natural edge slabs.
