Our Roble Inventory

We have Roble slabs in stock online in sizes that usually range:

  • Up to 24" wide
  • Up to 9' long
  • Up to 1" thick

Origin: Roble is found in Central and South America, primarily in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil.

Color: The sapwood has a pale color and the heartwood ranges from a golden to dark brown. It resembles white oak in appearance.

Janka Hardness: 990 (soft). Hardness is similiar to Soft Maple.

Decay and Weather Resistance: Rated as moderately decay resistant

Workability: Roble is a very stable, lightweight wood. It is easy to work with by hand and machine tools, but cutting edges should be kept very sharp. It has good gluing and turning properties and takes stains well. When nailing or screwing, pre-boring is necessary

Uses: It is used for various applications including fine furniture, cabinetry, flooring, veneers, boats, musical instruments, and turnings.
